TUITION + FEES, ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012, EFFECTIVE JULY 2011

Tuition: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Construction Management

Students matriculating at NSAD in Fall 2007 or later (on or after 10/1/2007):

$7,665 per quarter for full-time status (12 to 18 units per quarter)
$   667 per unit over 18 units in a quarter
$   667 per quarter unit for part-time status (less than 12 units per quarter)

Students matriculating at NSAD prior to Fall, 2007 (on or before 9/30/2007) and who have been continuously enrolled (except for summer quarters):
 
$7,350 per quarter for full-time status (12 to 18 units per quarter)
$   630 per unit over 18 units in a quarter
$   630 per quarter unit for part-time status (less than 12 units per quarter)

Tuition: Digital Media Arts

$6,667 per quarter for full-time status (12 to 18 units per quarter)
$   578 per unit over 18 units in a quarter
$   578 per quarter unit for part-time status (less than 12 units per quarter)

Student operation fee:  per quarter, non-refundable

$135 Includes: Copy and Printing Fees, Studio, Lab, School Access and ID Card, Library and Career Services, Student Activity Fee

Student Tuition Recovery Fund  (STRF), required by State of CA

STRF is $2.50 per $1000 of institutional charges (tuition and fees) for entire program (one-time collection)

Health Insurance Fee

$22/year accident insurance (required for all students)
$1204*/year health insurance premium (coverage is required, but NSAD policy may be waived with proof of comparable coverage)   
*annual health insurance premium is subject to change by provider

Additional fees as incurred:

$75 - Application Fee (non-refundable)

$250 - Late Registration Fee

$50 - Fee to add or drop a course after Drop/Add period

$100 - Administrative Fee for Tuition Refunds (up to 60 percent of coursework)

$25 - Late Payment Fee

$35 - Returned Check Fee

$10 - Transcript Fee

$250 Graduation Fee (includes official transcript, thesis processing, Commencement ceremony fees, degree audit, Thesis Exhibition)

$500 - Course Challenge Fee

$0.25 - Overdue Library Book Fee (charged per day)

$25 - Student ID Replacement Fee (one replacement free)

Tuition changes:
NewSchool of Architecture & Design reserves the right to review and modify tuition and fees prior to each academic year and will attempt to give notification of changes at least sixty (60) days prior to the beginning of classes (this does not include non-refundable Application Fee).
