Get introduced to one of the most comprehensive 3D software packages, which is used for creating high-end animation and visual effects for films, television commercials and games. The course introduces beginning or basic users of CG to the world of Autodesk Maya. The class is conducted to acquaint the student with the interface, controls, modeling, animation, lighting, rendering and other graphic toolsets with the latest version of the software.
 
Upon completion of this course students will take home a simple animation they did during class.

Details:

This five day interdisciplinary workshop gives our local high school junior and senior students an opportunity to explore their creativity at NSAD. As a center of academic excellence located in San Diego, California, with ties to design institutions worldwide, our talented faculty will offer participants hands–on experiences through a series of short and fun design projects, knowledge based lectures, and local field trips. Participating students will become familiar with a campus life while returning home each evening to their respective families. Students attending the Summer Design Career Week will complete the week feeling at ease with creating innovative design solutions and, in addition, be aided in developing a career choice in one of the four disciplines offered at NSAD: Architecture, Construction Management, Digital Arts, and Design.
