Application Deadlines

There are two financial aid application cycles for new students and one cycle for continuing students. The first cycle for new students has a deadline in May, and awards are typically announced by June. The second application deadline for new students is June, and awards are typically announced by July. 

Continuing student's applications are typically due in May.  The Scholarship Committee chair will review applications and make final awards no later than June of each year.

All new and continuing students are encouraged to contact the Office of Financial Aid at 619-684-8800 for the most accurate scholarship application deadlines.

To be eligible for financial aid, applicants must: 

• Complete an application
• Demonstrate a GPA of 3.25 or higher
• Submit a portfolio. This is a compilation of design work, art projects, crafts, furniture, poetry, creative writing, and/or photography from academic, professional, or individual experience.  No more than 10 pages, single-sided, 8 1/2” x 11”.
